it might be that the "anti-semitism" weaponisation tactic is being used in Germany the same way as it has been used in the UK, to silence any criticism of Israel and to purge any politicians who dare to speak out against genocide.
I hope that's not the case.

Oh, it is much worse than in the UK. The accusation of antisemitism is, of course, historically extremely charged here in Germany and thus serves as the ultimate conversation-stopper in any debate or discussion. Equating antisemitism with anti-Zionism, as well as repeatedly conflating Judaism with Israel, is common practice in Germany and part of a broad consensus among the public, the media, and politicians.
The medial bias is also much worse than in other Pro-Israel countries. Pro-Palestinian voices are hardly given a platform. Even in left-leaning media, more neutral perspectives rarely get airtime, and the wording and framing used often reflect that of the IDF or representatives of Israel.
