Occasionally Apple’s algorithms on my iphone/ipad show me how outside the norm my life is.

Today the Memories widget on my iPad came up with an auto-generated video called “World Trip Jan-Feb 2026”

And I’m sitting here thinking: World? But it was only 3 countries! And it didn’t even cover the other two countries I travelled to in February! Or the fact I travelled through France!

And then I realise my concept of travel is a little skewed.

@moof I think it’s also that Apple is very US centric. I got the same ”world trip” category for something that was more or less a commute because I happened to cross two nearby borders 😂 (and I didn’t fly to teleport straight to the second one). It’s not really made for Europe where countries are small and a non-event to cross.
