Hartburn Dene, in Northumberland. These denes in the coastal strip of NE of England are deep steep sided valleys, heavily vegetated and with a stream/river at the bottom. They were formed by rivers of glacial meltwater as the ice retreated. There are quite possibly spots of native woodland down some, as they are so inaccessible they may never have been cultivated, so potential for good genetic material. #Northumberland #River #Woodland #Landscape #Photography
