[App]Found an open-source alternative to replace Google Photos — and it even offers unlimited storage!

This sounds hard to believe.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Telegram eventually ended up deleting someone’s entire “backup”.

It seems to me to be a strange way to store your photos, not sure that Telegram is made for that. Especially if the conditions of Telegram ever change, it’s taking a huge long-term risk between losing your photos or worse.
Lol fucking Telegram, let me block you now.
Why does this post feel like spam? I don’t personally trust Telegram (which is not fully open source) and chose Immich. It works cross platform and my whole family can use it. It’s self hosted so I don’t have to worry about whatever shenanigans someone is up to on some remote server.
Cause it is. Em-dash in the title and words that are bold for no reason? Clear signs the post was made with an LLM.
Also user account is six hours old and this is their only post.
I’m sure once telegram catches on the account is used that way, they’ll put an end to the method and you’ll suddenly be over the limit and lose your data.
Telegraf is probably a Bad backend for anything. I would seriously reconsider.
Telegram isn’t encrypted unless you use a “secret” chat so they have full access to your photos. Hardly private.
