Watching it again as an adult, it is remarkable how well it depicts the Norwegian rural spirit and view of the world outside. Reminds me of childhood cabin trips to Finnskogen.

@monokrom I was 6 years old when it came out. My sister was 15, and her friends (mostly girls at her age) felt "too old" to see it alone, so I went along as their alibi. I must have seen it 5 or 10 times that year. I still love it. The sound of the car as it speeds along the track still gives me goose bumps.
