As someone without an internal monologue and aphantasia I can confidentially say that this person is talking bullshit
As someone who also lacks internal monologue I’m grateful I have other higher brain functions that allowed me to identify Hyperbole and not get offended over nonsensical jokes.
As someone who has internal monologue: offensive language is subjective. Those are discriminate statements about someone’s physical characteristics that are outside of their control. Similar statements about gender of skin color would be looked down on.
As someone with an internal monologue, but not sure it’s mine, the whispers are getting louder, and they’re starting to make convincing points.
It’s also pretty insulting for something that might have just been me understanding something wrong, having nothing to do with brain function
Nah, it’s ableist bullshit and shouldn’t be normalized
Is not having an internal monologue a disability?
It’s an ability that some people don’t have, and referring to people without that ability as if they’re stupid is pretty balatantly problematic
Which person are we talking about, the first or the second?
The inside of your mind must be very peaceful…
