@cad I've always been on android. Got a pixel 9 pro XL last year and I rate it very highly.
I'm not sure if you can do this on apple but I install the duckduckgo browser and it has an option to block the trackers from all your installed apps. It runs in the background so you can still use your preferred search engine.
