I was reading this article by CBS Sports about the NFL referees union standoff with the league, and it’s loaded with anti-union propaganda opinions, just slipped in there between statements of fact.

And in what will ring out to everyone: the NFL wants to improve accountability for all officials.

But it’s clear that the part-time officials are resisting being treated like full-time employees.

Public accountability has largely evaded officials, and the league has done well in years past to offer cover any time controversy arises.

The game is too big to be adjudicated by relative amateurs.

Many believe that today’s players will never strike (in support of the referees union) because the money is too great, giving management an eternal advantage in labor negotiations.
