@ludd I'm one of those many people who grew up with Harry Potter. They were "perfect books": about friendship, love, family, tolerance and fighting oppression (antifascist, even), all that in a magical world, with relatable characters of roughly my age living thrilling adventures. It was THE book series. But seeing how Rowling turned out, you get a second reading and then that nostalgic idealised picture collapses. So yeah, H.P. has probably had its time and there must be other things out there.
