Having said what I said in my last post, does anyone want to purchase a lovely large diaphragm condenser microphone that uses the vintage Neumann KM84 circuit? These mics sound fantastic and considering the relatively small body size you can use them in a bunch of places you wouldn't be able to use larger mics. In various nooks and crannies of the drum set for example.

It's bedtime so I don't have time to post a pi#c or anything else but I will tomorrow.

@Ricardus

I might, actually, possibly, but I'm not in the USA right now.

How does it talk to the outside world? I'm normally looking for something with a USB hookup, but I have the Radio Shack adaptor with XLR at one end and USB-B at the other. Whether that provides the voltage and current required for the KM84 or not I have no idea.

@publius it's your normal recording studio live sound type mic that needs an XLR input microphone preamp. It's not a USB mic. It's what I would call your normal pro audio mic in terms of how it interfaces with other pro audio gear.
