Turnout hasn’t been higher than 63% in a presidential election for over 100 years; midterms average around 40%.

I ran a poll on Reddit after 2016 & again after 2018, and the primary reason people did not vote was due to “inconvenience.” Reddit’s demographic was then 18-25, and the 18-29 group produces the fewest voters consistently.

So by all means, let’s make it even less convenient to vote! That will solve turnout, the life of our democracy, & the peskiness of freedom!
