Good parenting, in my view, means teaching your children HOW to think, not WHAT to think.  ❤️✊
@QasimRashid some people cant afford babysitters :(
@jarinks then don't go to church.
@emma move to the vatican so you are always in a church 🧠
@QasimRashid does anyone want to explain to me what the mention of "corporate worship" means? Is it simply a typo?
@tartley @QasimRashid religious term, just means worshipping together with others, rather than in isolation
@tartley @QasimRashid It seems "corporate" does have a meaning "collective", reading the dictionary.
Example: They answer in a joint and corporate voice.

@Orca @QasimRashid Ah, right you are, thank you! My own preferred websters1913 (for words of suitable vintage) comes up uncharacteristically terse:

3. United; general; collectively one.

e.g "They answer in a joint and corporate voice."

Webster's 1913

@QasimRashid oh! oh! That was the exact same example you found - are we corporate websters1913 lovers??? 🙂
@tartley @QasimRashid corporate = many individuals acting as a single body; same root (corpus = body) as corporeal, corporation, corpuscle, corpse, corps
@tartley @QasimRashid
Group worship, instead of being able to do it privately or at home.

@QasimRashid They're making a stick for their own back, lol! That'll work for 6/7 year old kids - they have implicit trust in their parents....but then they find there is no Santa Claus, lol!

Result: bubble pops, kids start thinking objectively....no more church for us, mom!

You can take a horse to water, but you can't make it drink! Ridiculous mentality!

@QasimRashid but i thought christians were told by the gospel of matthew they are supposed to pray from their closets in secret and wherever two or three are gathered in their fathers name, he is there with them.
@QasimRashid Christianity also has the strongest attendance theology of any religion (when two or more of you say my name I am there or whatever) particularly among Americans, who used to be almost universally Congregationalists of one sort or another. Not a totally fair comparison, but point granted.
@QasimRashid faith that requires force is a cult ❤️
@QasimRashid what on earth is corporate worship? You can tell that person is a yank.
@podsrover @QasimRashid
Group worship. Apparently they can only enjoy the jeebus stuff when in a group. Odd kink, but whatever.
@QasimRashid thefocusedhomemaker is a domestic terrorist. Full stop.
