"Unlike some DAPs I've heard, which have very good technical performance but sound boring, dry, and flat to my ears, the HiBy Digital M500 X Hatsune Miku 4G sounds musically engaging and three-dimensional with plenty of both macro and micro details."

@DharmaDog I like the idea of a DAP, but not one that runs Android.

How long will it gets updates before you have to throw it away and get another? Just a basic FLAC player that you copy files into would be ideal.

@gavin57 They're all customized versions of Android. Newer apps that won't function would be more of an issue. I have a DAP that runs a customized Android 13 because I do a lot of streaming and it's great. I can also do things like YouTube and there are many more audio apps available than on my locked DAPs. They do have to completely bypass the horrible Android audio handling however. One of my locked DAPs streams Tidal and Qobuz, but very poorly.
