I'm trying to force myself to get off of iOS completely. I'm running an iPhone 15 Pro, a Pixel 9 Pro and a Pixel 7 Pro both running GrapheneOS. I love GrapheneOS so much better than anything iOS has had to offer in a long time but somehow I still pick up my iPhone and use it most of the day.

If you've switched do you have any advice on how to stop picking your iPhone up first thing?

One issue is porting my number to Android and iMessage. That's the stickiest part for me
@tiff This. I do not know how to move away from iMessage without making a mess and likely losing contact with, maybe many, people.
@tiff I sold my iPhone.
@highfunctioningsociopath Practical. I think that's the move
@tiff As the slogan of an quite unknown sporting goods company goes: Just do it!
I did and I never looked back.
@tiff For me, it was a trade-in at Verizon. Once my Pixel 10 Pro was activated and running, I reset the iPhone in-store and handed it to the associate. As for iMessage, well, RCS bridged that gap. Sure, my text bubble isn't blue anymore, but neither am I since I left Apple.

@tiff

I tried, really hard, to break-away, but alas...

I concluded that keeping basic access to 'the real World' is part of the obfuscation game and not necessarily a bad thing.

Therefore, I now have an iPhone XS in addition to my secure Pixel/GOS device, and find it quite handy for general Business related stuff.

@tiff tried to move but iMessages and FaceTime was difficult to quit or move :(
