I know Stephen Colbert is a big fan of JRR Tolkien novels. I remember him talking about it on his old show, The Colbert Report, on Comedy Central years ago, numerous times. When he appeared in one of The Hobbit movies, he also did an interview with David Letterman dressed as a hobbit.
