Ēostre is the ancient Goddess of Spring, celebrated by the Anglo Saxons before Christianity nicked her festival for Easter.

She’s associated with hares, well known to be magical creatures.

This hare looks like it’s been associating with too many magic mushrooms.

@ferryoons I was always intrigued by the similarity of the German word for Easter bunny "Osterhase" and the aristocratic Hungarian family "Esterhazy" (various spellings exist). Coincidence, perhaps.
