i need a deduplicating filesystem and i don't have a spare partition, so, here's a funny idea

finish the git-pages webdav support that i started some time ago, then mount the webdav endpoint as a filesystem and shove it all there

we have btrfs at home

@nyx it's a pretty decent filesystem really: transparent compression and deduplication, atomic CAS for arbitrairly deep trees, as many roots as you want...
@whitequark reminds me of when I tried using git-annex for awhile and just couldn't deal with it
@nyx yeah i think git-pages is kinda like git-annex but not terrible haha
@whitequark my personal terrible solution to this issue is btrfs snapshots being sent to a big local server with a btrfs volume holding snapshots. The terrible part is its on top of a zfs zvol  
But my big spinning rust server was already there and i got tired of all the “keep local record of all files to maybe occasionally backup” solutions…
