#WhatIsGoingOnHere

no seriously, what is this tech witchcraft going on here?

what does visual studio have to do with factorial numbers?

make this make sense.

@loganer Seems like it interprets the "vs" in the search as Visual Studio, and the exclamation mark must be some type of shortcut or something. I'm trying to figure it out right now as I type this.

@Drayson even if that was the case, it should show me the results and not redirect to visual studio.

like at this point duckduckgo isn't even acting like a search engine.

@loganer Yeah I don't know how to get it to not do that

But apparently so far I figured out that any time there's "n!" in the search, it pulls up the start page again and runs the search but without the "n!", so searching "n! vs n!!" leads to "vs n!!", and then "vs !"

And then apparently having a space between whatever letters and the exclamation mark will also do something, but differently, like "n !" led me to Netflix, so "vs !" leads to Visual Studio. And "vs!" just searches like normal apparently??? This is confusing.

@loganer I guess you'll just have to look up "factorial vs double factorial" for what you're looking for
@Drayson it's confusing and wrong, it should only be doing the search because it's a search engine.
