We need to defund TSA *and* ICE. U.S. Americans need to remember that DHS, including TSA and ICE were established on the back of 9/11 fear. Democrats caved, and now we've normalized these institutions.

These institutions are doing what they were trained to do. We don't need "better trained" thugs, we don't need any thugs at all.

@chrispomeroyhale agreed but "caved" makes it sound like a bunch of Ds weren't equally enthusiastic. Presidents O and B did plenty to build out the surveillance state paramilitary infrastructure, and most of the D leadership would be happy to keep it if they think they can run it. Just saying it's dangerous to let them off the hook.
