Seattle Central College is trying to shut down its very successful Wood Technology Program, again. They want to sell the valuable real estate in order to (temporarily) fill a budget hole. This is so shortsighted! The college should be expanding their construction training programs, not cutting them.

The Seattle Colleges District plans to close the school and list the Central District property for sale. Leaders at Seattle Colleges outlined the plan on Monday, but emphasized that it was not final, faculty said.
