A lot of y'all don't know,but the Flakes family roots in LA were planted three block south of la Brooklyn,on 1st St. Everyone in our family except my brother @tarheeldarrin_ lived in that hood at one time or another until the late 60's when we moved to South Central. It was always Brooklyn Ave to us. Mom and grandma still called it Brooklyn after they named the street after Cesar Chavez. (But then again, grandma and Aunt Irene still called MLK Jr Blvd Santa Barbara Ave until they passed.) Do the right thing,Mayor Bass and Councilwoman Jurado. Change the name of the street back to Brooklyn. #losangeles"
