Animal March - 24 - Schildwanze

Ein weiteres Mini-Bild eines kleinen Tieres. Die Schildwanze dürfte in etwa in Originalgrösse gezeichnet sein auf diesem 25x22mm Papierchen (40x36mm Rahmen).
Leider was das mein letztes Mini-Rähmchen. Ich muss mal schauen, wie ich die selber bauen kann.

@KunzKunst Wow! Ein lebensgroßer Wanzen-Starschmitt, sozusagen. 😁 Großartig! Ich mag die Schattierung sehr.
@KunzKunst They aren't very difficult to build if you start from already milled molding. This is the type of wood used to frame windows and doors. Once you have molding it's just matter of cutting them at a 45 degree angle and applying fasteners (and glue) on the back side to splice them together. (I attach them with a biscuit cutter but only because I already have one.) Be cautious when cutting the angles to make sure you're cutting them in the proper direction for each corner.

Hm, my main issue is the size. The whole frame is 38mm x 40mm, the X-Section of the frame is 7mm x 7mm.
My DIY-Shop does not have milled molding that small.
@KunzKunst I'm not sure if ceiling trim will be small enough but that's one idea. If it's not small enough, try specialty shops or websites that sell lumber for creating doll houses.
@DevlinLeathercraft ...but maybe there are some Toyhouse Makers here?
Where do they get the small furniture pieces?
@KunzKunst We had the same thought at the same time. I'm not sure where you'd find it in your area but "doll house" is another English search term you could try.
@KunzKunst Another search term could be 1:12 scale molding. That's 12 times smaller than typical molding or trim.
@DevlinLeathercraft Thanks for the ideas. Doll houses, 1:12 scale Modelling and so on are a new, good route to go. I am quite shure with this new angle I will finde some fitting parts.
