Browsers & hardware have improved a LOT so I might try making it look an extra move ahead (suspect it’ll still lock up for too long for some board states though)
The most annoying thing about this game was when it took off on Hacker News and dozens of people proclaimed it to be bug-ridden rubbish because they didn’t know about en passant
