I'm sorry if I cannot be excited about people and their expensive full bred puppies. I was once one of those people and bought a dog with numerous health issues because of all the inbreeding. The two pups I have now are two reject cross-breeds that a puppy mill operator could not sell and turned them over for adoption. But I've had my share of mutts and every single one of them was an amazing dog.

@mlanger @az I am glad you have discovered mutts. All my dogs have only been mutts and they are wonderful. ❤️ If only us humans hadn't over bred breeds.

@jalley @az It disgusts me that people have made it a business to breed dogs to the point where it damages the bitch's health and results in the offspring having significant physical maladies. These are animals, not factory commodities. But people see it as easy money and the amount of money they can get for the dogs they mass produce is obscene. People who support this by buying the dogs should be ashamed of themselves.

@mlanger @az I was just reading a book about various pieces of artwork at the Frick museum in NYC. They had asked various people to write about their favourite painting in the collection. One of the short essays had been written by a dog behaviourist. This person was pointing out how you can see what various breeds looked like before humans started over breeding dogs in older paintings. It was really cool.
