@PugJesus and dystopia is when you can't see his hair at all

What about when there’s no hair at all?

@smeg the only example I could find was when he played Skurge (the Executioner) in Thor Ragnarok. 🤔

I haven't seen it but apparently he fights with M16s and waraxes in that movie, so... I'm not sure how to classify it :D

Superhero is when he has a beard but no long hair. Like this and Billy Butcher.
Dredd makes me sad. One of the best comic book movies ever made. Didn’t get a sequel because it didn’t make enough money. And it didn’t make enough money, because the marketing sucked.
And took so long to produce that it came out after The Raid. Another great movie set in a single skyscraper.

Sci-fi is fiction with science and could be reality

Fantasy is fiction with magic that you wish was reality

Star wars - not sci fi
Science Fantasy.
Space fantasy.
You need to drop the science part.
Read more of the books, there’s plenty of science lol.
Well that’s not at all the same thing

Why not? What definition are you using for science fiction, because if Star Wars isn’t fiction, than neither is Star Trek, they have more or less the same fake technology, they both have strange powers, hive minds exist, aliens, cyborgs, AI, the list of comparisons go on.

So what’s the metric you are using?

I don’t agree. Yes it’s fantasy but the “science” term there comes directly from “science fiction”

That is to say, “science fiction” means “fiction but taking into account at least some level of scientific understanding”

While “science fantasy” means “fantasy but with the trappings of science fiction”. It’s a perfectly good name for the genre

The phrasing is similar and it uses the same word, but a different route to get there.

Edit: on the other hand hand username checks out. Maybe I just fell for the bait.

Are you suggesting that nothing in Star Wars is based on science? Than Star Trek isn’t fiction either, phasers, teleportation, grav generators. Oddly enough, those exist in both universes. The only fantasy about Star Wars is the force, and that’s an analogy for religion.

Yet Star Trek has telekinesis, telepathy and other outwardly abilities, just like Star Wars! Do you notice a trend yet…?

you wish was reality

So def not Game of Thrones then

I want some hard sci-fi
I want some high fantasy
I want Karl Urban’s hard fantasy
His Riddick Mullet tracks, as that is Science Fantasy.
Karl Urban vs Karl Rural
Fantasy is when we pretend Urban looks good in long hair

He just absolutely disappears into roles. Such a good actor.

What’s the top right?

Absolutely! I never even realised all these roles (and others mentioned in the comments) were the same guy!
It’s this one. m.imdb.com/title/tt0446013/
Holy shit, I hadn’t thought about Pathfinder since it first came out on DVD… I remember it being great, gonna have to go hunting now!
I just watched Ghost Ship again and totally forgot he was in it.
