A fuck ton of us are paycheck to paycheck looking for any outlet to soothe our broken minds and bodies. I really hate this generalist talk about the us right now when so many of us are prisoners, glorified indentured servants. I literally don’t know how I’m going to feed myself for a couple of weeks right now. I fear ice just because I’m brown, especially here in the south.

This. Also relaxation, distraction and “hedonism” to a certain extent are necessary for people to resist at all. You cannot resist if you are completely burnt out from working, organizing and stressing about the current situation. After all we are human and our needs don’t always follow moral boundaries.
