Hurry up and watch "Project Hail Mary" so we can talk about it!

Until then: no spoilers!

Edit: taking my own advice, I need to hurry up and read the book too!

@mekkaokereke My son made me see it monday !

@mekkaokereke

I would like to and can't BUT I have read the book and am pretty sure the ending is the same?

Probably some other people read the book too, so I bet there are a bunch of us ready to talk about it already, hidden behind spoiler warnings for the others...

@marymessall The ending is similar but not exactly the same. IMO the choices they made were good and it is an excellent adaptation. No significant changes as far as the plot goes. @mekkaokereke
@mekkaokereke I cried at the end when he died. So sad.
@CAJones69 @mekkaokereke But at least they got married 💍💍
@catzilla @CAJones69 @mekkaokereke can't wait for the sequel about their children /j
@Artemis201 @CAJones69 @mekkaokereke I heard Netflix got the rights to make a 6 season show about it, so excited! 🤩
@catzilla @CAJones69 one for each child, Bridgerton-style, obviously
@Artemis201 @CAJones69 Since it's canon that each one of their children goes on to live on a different star system, to me it makes perfect sense. And then, you know, all that drama that unfolds in the future and everything? Curious how they're going to film that!
@mekkaokereke I read the book years ago and saw it over the weekend. Talk to me!

@mekkaokereke last night, so good. I didn’t read the book so my wife and her friend had way more to talk about but one thing, as an HCI nerd

The language labeler baked into the translation ui

The best UX is hidden.

So cool to see tech on screen and be like “yes, that makes a ton of sense”

@mekkaokereke I loved the book and movie both! There's more in the book, if you like to have more details and stuff.

I feel we need more classic inspirational SciFi. Man vs nature, overcoming both technical and social problems by working together. Dr Grace makes both good and bad decisions; a rare realistic human portrayal.

@mekkaokereke I have tickets for Sunday.
@mekkaokereke I read the book with some friends a few years ago. We agreed it would make a better movie than book, but I'm withholding judgment until I see the movie.

@mekkaokereke

I am not a sci Fi fan, but a coworker recommended it highly so I went.

Would recommend.

I saw it in IMAX. Not sure if that enhanced anything, I think I would have enjoyed it the same in IMIN.

@mekkaokereke I listened to the audio book and I think it made the experience better (for spoiler reasons), it's very well done.
@mekkaokereke i watched it and really liked it!
No spoilers, but I don't think it quite stands alone without the book. I highly recommend anyone who watches it have also read the book. Its great as a compliment to the book, not as a replacement for the book.
