@AmenZwa I was once told that in the US, parents would often attempt to have their children in January, so that they could be more physically developed compared to others of the same year, and thereby better qualify in sports. Don't know if it’s true, but it doesn't seem to be the case at least (at a quick glance).

There are definitely regional and local patterns of planned birthdays, round the world, based on religion, culture, and social dates. I know parents who deliberately planned to have their children born on the same day, days that qualify the kids to be enrolled in the next grade level at the start of lower school, etc. Your anecdote lines up with that.

Personally, that’s way too regimented a life.
