@DrALJONES We could devise systems that dont select for and put a turbo on sociopaths, (those are not our current western democracies...)
Better yet, adopt horizontal systems of governance that do away with hierarchy. You solve inequality by the same token.

We have others evolved tendencies that help us live in peace and cooperation with our neighbors. That's the core if human history and experience.
The Alpha domination narrative is strong if you buy into it, and strong because of material conditions. They can and have been flipped.

Evolved tendencies are a fact of life. Humans can create the conditions that foster what we want. But it all comes back to my point: none of that happens without education.

@DrALJONES Education as it stands, is way too elitist. Ivy league Universities is where we find our top psycopaths in Washington, Silicon Valley, The pentagon and the IMF (and the Epstein Files), and invertly a pliable working class in the lower tiers. I think a good system of universal , egalitarian, human and life centered cursus could bring a democratic well being for all, yes. Education is not a neutral endeavor.
