It figures. I have been running both #ntfy and #gotify for years, just too lazy to fix up the last couple of items and pick one. Last week I settled on #ntfy instead of #gotify, got the last couple items switched over, etc. The next day, they proudly take in a huge shitpile of LLM code. "Well-tested!" Then hotfix after hotfix..

Are there any third options? This seems like the sort of space that
#OSS should shine but somehow doesn't.. I just want a decent notification app.

@dis Pushover is much more extensive than both. Doesn't work self-hosted though.
@syn I've had an account with them forever but I don't really use it anymore. I think the last notification was when a buddy discovered they added DMs for some reason. (Or was that pushbullet? I always mixed them up.)

Self-hosted is a requirement though.
@dis Yeah, I used pushbullet for a while before getting pissed off by how far it departed from just being fucking pubsub. Pushover still lives in that nice region. But I hear you about self-hosting and if anything pops up, I'll shout.
