@akane I have no idea either if I'm gonna like it as it's gonna be my first fallout game, I just had my interest in the franchise spark up again after a convo a few weeks ago

the main thing scaring me about fallout is how heavy the rpg elements might be (mostly talking about arbitrary stats and possible grinding), but other than that project silverfish taught me I absolutely LOVE a reasonably resource-starved, ridiculously deep open world fps

stalker should be the closest thing to silverfish but I find it hard to approach so fallout it is

@driftini New Vegas you can easily play as no thoughts head empty, even on survival mode. Resources are very generous, quests almost never present a dillema that can't be ignored with a skill check, the worst that happens is that some enemies have too much health and fights drag on.

@akane well that doesn't sound promising, most of all the tanky enemies (especially coming from pish where ttk is low both ways with the right ammo types)

as for the difficulty is there a slider or nah (and is it the annoying kinda difficulty that just makes enemies even tankier)

@driftini I don't remeber how difficulty works, but combat is pretty simple and so are they eenemies.

Fans mostly like it for the milieu and characters, not so much the survival roleplay. I think iit's the case for a lot of story focused games that they're relatively weak but very loved because it's for many the introduction to this kind of thing.
