@SeaFury what is premium diesel? there is something like that in DE as well, but when I drove a VW diesel - built in 2010 - (I guess same engine) I never bothered. afaik all VW run on regular diesel.

@SeaFury also. gosh. when we sold our old battered diesel (repair costs higher than value) and got a pre-owned electric, I was coughing but still wanted to do it. boyhoo, did this pay off...

@SeaFury You could probably use cooking oil (about $3/L in 20L drums) or filtered waste vegetable oil

@jonlawrence @SeaFury Yes. In 2008/09 I worked at a service station. We only had one kind of diesel. I reckon 'premium diesel' is probably just marketing.
