When I built my workstation I put a NVMe in and a sata ssd ... I first did a quickl ubuntu install on the sata ssd to get something running, leaving the nvme to do a proper tought-out install of Arch or something on the nvme.

This was 2018. It's 2026 and that NVMe is still blank and I'm still running the "temporary" ubuntu off the sata drive.
