Pink Floyd went woke

@redsad reminds me of this I re-posted last week

may have cost me a friend

be warned, its very triggering

@normjess @redsad
**is triggered**
Crap, look at all those countries where I can't go without facing prosecution or persecution...
Oh, wait...

@mancavgeek @redsad
I think you can probably go to Saudi Arabia and speak loudly, negatively, publicly about the Royals and the Regime if you want to be murdered

but you won't be thrown in the back of a police van for simply being heterosexual

@normjess @redsad This is why I have no interest in going to Saudi, or most of the other Gulf States - I don't have any problems with their right to worship whomever or however they want, but I wouldn't be able to be quiet about the almost constant stream of human rights abuses and corruption, and even being a cis-het white British man wouldn't save me from being bundled into the back of a van.
Funnily enough, the US has been added to that list of places I don't want to go, for exactly the same reason.
The fact that the Gulf States and the US both claim to be based on certain religious traditions, but don't exactly illustrate the finer qualities of those religions is something that has to be seen to be believed.
And if Reform gets into power here in the UK, I will be trying to get out of here as well, for exactly those reasons.

@mancavgeek @redsad
oh, same, I would never go to the US now that I'm (aware that I'm) bi-gender-fluid

I'm scared enough about getting bottled to death in the UK by one of Farage's fan-boys

in the US it'll be a bullet in the back, maybe not even intended for me

I am kind of stuck in the UK though due to some medical treatments

if Reform win I'll have to go Home Alone on my fellow country-people
