My predictions are rarely right. So, I make this one hoping I am wrong.

I think Trump will invade and occupy Kharg Island, thinking that will force an Iranian surrender and fully open the Straits.

That seems unlikely to work, IMO. Trump has destroyed its near term financial value, so #Iran loses little. Instead, it will give the Ayatollah further fuel to rally the nation. And, make American troops sitting ducks for asymmetric attacks.

We'll see what happens.
