@BrentToderian but they're worse for the auto industry, who can afford to spend billions to lobby against expanding bike lanes, which is why they're so terrible 
@mjdxp @BrentToderian Not actually sure they are. As bike lanes are better for cars too.
@LovesTha @BrentToderian but they're also better for bikers, and the auto industry has to fight against any mode of transportation that's not a car
@mjdxp @BrentToderian what i don't get is the car lobby in countries without car industries

@mjdxp @BrentToderian We used to have one. But we killed it (now we killed it is an interesting topic for debate, my hot take is to do with rules around our domesting racing scene), so now it makes no sense for governments to promote driving.
