@spacefeed.bsky.social When a star as massive as Betelgeuse goes #nova or #supernova then the jet of energetic Gamma-ray bursts that it releases, are typically ejected from its poles. If the pole is not pointed towards earth then it is possible that it will not impact earth. The same should occur for UV radiation too. Can any #astrophysicist please verify this?
