President Donald Trump has laid out five objectives for the U.S. in its war with Iran that he said the U.S. is close to achieving as he considers “winding down” the operation. But some of the goals appear open-ended and it’s unclear how the administration will define success in meeting them. Adding to the muddle is that the White House has until very recently outlined four objectives for the war.
