As a cishet white dude, I did a lot of thinkin. I realized that the way all of society viewed gender was fucked, and that I couldn't blame folks for rejecting it.
And as big of a step as it is to change one's own gender, I understood that it was far easier to change their gender than it was to change everyone else's idea of it. Heck, it's probably really important in doing that.
I realized it, understood it, but I feel like I forgot til I read these words.
@frigginglorious @rooster It is, as they say, a spectrum. Sometimes the label’s all that’s wrong (or as in your example, the product catalog; I identify as cisgruntled, because I am definitely female, but a lot of the meaning of “woman” is nails-on-chalkboard incorrect for me.)
Sometimes there’s a parts or fuel swap necessary, sometimes a totally custom build is the right choice for the user. The main consensus is there’s no call for excessive deference to a manufacturer with such a high error rate, but thankfully the secondary market seems to be catching up.

Either way, I still think it’s everyone else’s fault. The systems and ideas we put in place. The idea of “gender roles” goes well beyond “women do the laundry and men take out the trash”
I have two little boys who have no concept of the idea of girls, or women, or gender… idk if it’s because we’re raising them right or very wrong.
