Kyle HughesI did finish Project Hail Mary and I did enjoy it. I did not enjoy The Martian, so it was not predetermined. I don't particularly enjoy competence porn, which The Martian was exclusively, but I liked the overall plot of Project Hail Mary enough to keep engaged. I did not watch The Martian movie because I disliked the book so much, but I'm looking forward to this movie, which we postponed until this weekend for reasons unrelated to me missing the deadline.
David Brownman@kyle the Martian movie is excellent whether or not you like the book. It's an adaptation, but it's very very well done
@xavdid Ehhh but I don’t like that style of story when there’s not a real sci-fi worldbuilding plot around it. I didn’t like Gravity.
