We should, still, be concerned about the instabilities that interventions and war induce over decades. There can be overconfidence about outcomes, particularly in light of contemporary domestic short term attitudes.

2/2…the situation has become much more dangerous for the average Iranian as the IRGC is now using intermediate and some longer range ballistic missiles in attacks on Israel and Gulf states with Russia providing targeting intelligence.Hardliners are running the show. Their rhetoric indicates little concern for their own civilians when they can’t get out of the way. Support of proxies that rely on terrorism makes the situation a nightmare for the region as a whole
