NM specifically banned armed federal law enforcement from polling sites earlier this month, other states might...But for regressive state legislatures, I dunno, it's probably gonna take a variety of tactics.
Going forward, and within institutions: it's fact that state legislatures with more women in them -tend- to mostly still be functional rather than corrupt

and all I can say is I'm not sure where the tipping point would be, but there -is- a point where folks will take matters into their own hands -outside- of institutions that clearly are not working for them any more. Me: I work every election day, so I'm still a bit of an institutionalist, but I certainly can sympathize with people who don't think many of the weasels in our systems are redeemable at this point
