FKFTSHThe thing with lesser evilism is that you're not choosing the lesser of two evils when you're voting for Democrats. You're choosing both evils. When USians voted in Biden in 2020, did he prevent a second Trump term? Or did he instead rule so incompetently & maliciously that he paved the way for it?
It's only "harm reduction" if Democrats win indefinitely. But they're incapable of winning indefinitely, because they fucking suck. The only thing they have going for them is that people fear Republicans. But watching Democrats tank the economy & beat protesters for years has a way of tempering that fear.
When you vote for a Democrat, you are not voting for peace. You are voting for war and bigotry, with the promise that eventually a Republican will swoop in and deliver even *more* war and bigotry. You are sacrificing a somewhat smaller amount so that the greater amount can be sacrificed later.
kyulen742US "democracy" is nothing but a villain carousel. Democrats get into office, terrorize people abroad and at home, and eventually enough people get sick of them that Republicans win. Then Republicans do the same until Democrats win. The two white supremacist parties exist in a symbiotic relationship.
This is also why, no matter how many unspeakable evils Republicans unleash onto the world, you will never hear a Democrat call for the Republican Party to be abolished. It doesn't work that way. If either party falls, the other falls with it, because they justify each others' existences.
