froufoxi love both, but would recommend playing Sekiro first. Nightreign has a playable character whith mechanics almost similar to Sekiro, and i guess it would be easier to adopt them after (not necessarily tho).
also Nightreign is designed as an online game. even tho it has amazing story and a it’s even possible to play solo, it has a different vibe comparing to classic soulslikes
great thought, I’m more of a solo guy so that is something I was thinking about, I had heard people not enjoying night reign if they didn’t have a squad
the game learning curve is steeper because of limited time for a run, and some “training” solo runs and explanation videos helped me to improve (i avoid guides in regular soulslikes, but the only alternative here is investing tremendous amounts of time to learn even basics). then when you already understand what to do, its better even with randos imo. most of my regular “story” runs were fun and positive. i know people are salty in “ranked” mode, but i haven’t tried it and probably won’t without a proper squad
