@VeroniqueB99 It's the school shootings, the racism, the misogyny, the illegal invasions of sovereign nations hoping to self-determine, it's the fucking military base in my country and the behaviour of its personnel on leave. It's the abuse of the "alliance" with my country, the coercion and control. The coup orchestrated here in 1976.

@VoidDumu @VeroniqueB99 In 1976, Labor Prime Minister Gough Whitlam was sacked by the Governor General (the alcoholic Sir John Kerr), and replaced by Liberal Malcolm Fraser.
Whitlam was turning away from the US, introduced free university education and "no-fault" divorce opportunities.
It was a bloodless coup known here as "The Dismissal". The CIA and MI6 were busy with it.
