Asta [AMP]@emma I think this is part of why I haven't stopped pointing out the ridiculousness of the whole thing and that they were told. Many times! That this tech doesn't work like that and isn't worth investing in and has a huge capacity for harm.
So that when they do their "the market demand for AI is down blah blah blah" we can tell them to shove it right up their ass, where it belongs. Because they knew, and were told, and just didn't care. So anyone who thinks "maybe they were just naive" noooooooope. They fired way too many people who told them it couldn't work for that to be the case. They stuck their head in the sand, let em choke on it.
