Needless to say, this constantly shifting rhetoric has zero to do with nuanced calculations about international relations and everything to do with Trump frantically scrambling for whatever rhetoric makes him look dominant and in charge on a second-by-second basis.

Look at this. You wouldn't hire this guy to run the mailroom! You wouldn't hire him to organize a company picnic! You wouldn't hire him in a position of authority over your money, or your kids, or your job! No one in the country would hire this man for any job that they *understood & cared about*.
