I have been really consumed by this three line #statistics formulation of #deepLearning #feedForwardNeuralNetworks I wrote which I am calling #dlroc .

The third equation is literally

> take the mean average

> if it is negative do the negative thing, otherwise do the positive thing.

@screwlisp Congratulations, you are one conversation away from having really strong, mystically presenting opinions about entropy.

@Alephwyr I kinda got that not a lot of people seem to have played battleships as children.

So me pointing out that all of deep learning is your battleships-score,

this admittedly odd looking plus/minus thing with an 'activation function' F,

and then taking the mean average over your battleships scores

is not landing for a lot of people. I am serious!
