Maybe there are different rules for apparatus on the runway. For example I know when we do the airshow, we are not allowed to use any red lights on anything.

Our retired, medics, and our golf carts all have flashing red light capabilities that we use very infrequently, but it is forbidden when we are anywhere on the grounds at Mather
