MAGA influencer Nick Sortor has returned to PDX to be a witness against an anti-ICE protestor who is being charged for disorderly conduct related to Nick walking backwards w umbrellas in his face & falling into a bioswale. The jury selection was yesterday & the trial began today. Katie Daviscourt is serving as his MAGA court reporter.

The trial stems from an Oct 3 incident outside the Portland ICE facility, where Sortor was arrested & subsequently threw a huge hissy fit on his massive twitter acct. His charges were dropped, but not those of the anti-ICE protestors who were also arrested that night.

Being detained by PPB at a protest & subsequently having your charges dropped later is obnoxious & onerous, but not unusual in PDX, and is usually applied agst the left.
Sortor was incensed to get a taste of the tactic (even tho he threw hands), because right wingers are supposed to be exempt.

For example, Nick & some friends rolled into a Minneapolis neighborhood known for its Somali immigrant population in January, blaring Toto's "Africa" from his loudspeakers as a racist troll. He'd been lurking on their businesses for the month prior, hoping to duplicate Nick Shirley's dubious daycare expose. So the community knew who he was & a frustrated woman stole his phone. Nick was immediately offered encouragement & help from Kash Patel & Bovino.

Five days after his October arrest in PDX, Sortor complained abt it at the bizarre White House Antifa Roundtable, saying PPB was "frankly ... cooperating w antifa."
Trump replied, "At least that horrible night made you famous."
It was a full court propaganda press.

The absurd-on-its-face outcry over PPB's "anti-conservative bias" led to enforcement of ticky tacky crowd control measures on the anti-ICE protests, like jaywalking; which culminated in the destruction of supply tents in the pouring rain, while patriots looted them.

As for the trial that began today, none of clips that I've seen appear to show this particular defendant even touch Sortor. They just taunted Nick, as far as I can tell.
Chelly Bouferrache says it was "menacing & harassing", which is all the patriots themselves do, all the time.

Meanwhile, Sortor & his rage bait content creation was one of the main influences that inaugurated a season of new MAGA content vigilantes targeting the PDX anti-ICE protests night after night.
It has gotten dangerous. Last weekend, a particularly unstable MAGA agitator, Shane Carroll, brandished a gun and aimed it at anti-ICE protestors. As of today, he has not even been questioned by local law enforcement.
Yet an anti-ICE protestor who yelled at Nick Sortor to leave because he was being aggressive & had been begging the President on Twitter to unleash the military on the city, is facing a trial today, where Nick will be testifying against them.

Sortor himself illustrates the gross real estate-brained slime balls that MAGA turns into heroes.
Nick is a blatant racist. In the lead-up to, and during, the ICE occupation of Minnesota, Sortor endlessly mocked Somalis - their appearance, their intelligence - and relentlessly called for them to be ethnically cleansed.
He is also a liar. He lies abt Portland, and he is lying abt the incident that led to this trial.
